Celeste Motus (excerpts)

“Celeste Motus” is an audiovisual suite in three movements. This video shows some excerpts from the suite, captured in realtime during a studio session (because of the capturing process there are some drops in the framerate, but the realtime version runs at 60 frames per second). Both the music and the visuals are generated in realtime using the input of two electric instruments (a wind instrument and a piano). The original setup is meant to be a three screens span mode resulting in a panoramic 4:1 view. The theme of the suite is the growth of consciousness, a growth that develops during the three movements. For a more detailed description please visit the project page

Teaser prodotto da Albamada, MDLSX è ordigno sonoro, inno lisergico e solitario alla libertà di divenire, al gender b(l)ending, all’essere altro dai confini del corpo, dal colore della pelle, dalla nazionalità imposta, dalla territorialità forzata, dall’appartenenza a una Patria. Di “appartenenza aperta alle Molteplicità” scriveva R. Braidotti in “On Becoming Europeans”, avanzando la proposta di una identità post-nazionalista… Ed è verso la fuoriuscita dalle categorie – tutte, anche artistiche – che MDLSX tende. È uno “scandaloso” viaggio teatrale di Silvia Calderoni che – dopo 10 anni con Motus – si avventura in questo esperimento dall’apparente formato del D-j/Vj Set, per dare inizio a una esplorazione sui confini che si catalizzerà, nel 2016, in “Black Drama. Un musical tragico” In MDLSX collidono brandelli autobiografici ed evocazioni letterarie e sulla confusione tra fiction e realtà MDLSX oscilla - da Gender Trouble a Undoing Gender. Citiamo Judith Butler che, con “A Cyborg Manifesto” di Donna Haraway, il “Manifesto Contra-sexual” di Paul B. Preciado e altri cut-up dal caleidoscopico universo dei Manifesti Queer, tesse il background di questa Performance-Mostro.

Director: Violet Suk & Martin Koch ProdCo: Suk & Koch Media Inc. we were commissioned to create a 90 second short film featuring the iconic red bull can for an episodic TV Art show series entitled X13. we deconstructed the can and its contents through rhythmic multi-layered juxtaposition of images by utilizing mirrors, moving lights, macro photography and layered sound design.
