This is partly due to their eye-catching and technologically advanced opening titles for two design events back in 2009, OFFF and Playgrounds. In 2010 we shot a video profile with Onesize founders Kasper Verweij and Rogier Hendriks in their, then, brand-new and freshly painted Amsterdam studio. THE EXPERIENCE JOURNEY / ONESIZE / JACK MORTON /

Project: Jack Morton: The Experience Journey Client: Jack Morton Music and Sound Design: Box Of Toys Audio BACKGROUND/ This short animation is the product of a collaboration between BXFTYS, Onesize and Jack Morton. It was designed for Jack Morton's Consumer Marketing and explains why human experience has now become the heart of social currency. It shows why brand experiences are fundamental to creating lasting connections between people and brands. APPROACH/ An animated and cheerful electro-acoustic approach was taken to the audio. We combined an unlikely set of instruments to create an original piece that compliments the colourful shapes and movements seen throughout. To achieve this we set out to record a 'kids orchestra' using instruments such as the violin, harmonica, accordian and glock - these recordings were then edited in line with a two chord sequence and constructed around the overall narrative of the piece. Sound design is presented in a vibrant manner to give life to each object that appears.

For FITC Amsterdam 2013, we created these titles based on the creative designed by mr Bradley G Munkowitz (aka GMUNK) Since Bradley was already working on the creative for the print campaign of FITC Amsterdam 2013, and we loved his design work, we decided to step in and give FITC a complete and cohesive visual package instead of visually creating something completely new or different. And so here it is.. our "Pyradical" main titles for FITC Amsterdam 2013. Pure disco! Produced for FITC Amsterdam 2013. OFFF Barcelona 2015 Main Titles by Signalnoise and Onesize

After Hector Ayuso had put Onesize in touch with graphic artist James White (aka Signalnoise) to collaborate on OFFF Barcelona 2015 Main Titles, the question arose: "How will the styles ever mix?" They chose to give the audience a souvenir by printing the titles in the form of a card deck. Fifty three designs were made by James White and his team (back in Canada), while Onesize developed two 80s TV Commercials, selling the card deck and promising a better life for dysfunctional families. This film tells a story about Jason, a boy who bought this deck of cards 30 years ago as a last resort to save his family. It all turned out quite different for him and he blames Sean - the kid in the commercials - whose "no losers, only winners” catchphrase has eaten through Jason’s life like a cancer. Now, in present time, Jason’s journey of revenge is coming to a close. Before the film was shown to the audience at the festival, over 2000 printed versions of the card game where handed out to every single person in the room as "take-away titles". Warde "Home Is A Quest" DIRECTOR'S CUT LeoBurnett Lebanon gave us the opportunity to debut with character animation. We loved the challenge and the pleasure was all ours! This 60 second fully CG animated commercial was created for Warde, the biggest reseller of fabrics in the middle east and Africa and is known for it's quality and designs world-wide. LeoBurnett challenged us to create a world made of fabrics in which all kinds of animals are on a quest for home. The peaceful story, colorful imagery and enchanting music all together made this film an epic one for us. The custom soundtrack was created by our friends at MassiveMusic Amsterdam. Through our US rep Social Studios in Santa Monica, Geoff Keighley told us he was in need for an award show graphics package. Geoff Keighley, the founder of the The Game Awards Show, just wrapped the first awards show in Las Vegas and it was a big succes. We invited our designer/director friends Steffen Knoesgaard and Fredrik Ekholm to jump on board of this project and take the lead. The result is an abstract stone world in which rising beams metaphorically represent „arising games” which resembles the awards show theme „Games will Rise”. Onesize produced this package which included a Show Opener, Laundry List, Nomination Screens, Animated Backgrounds, Lower 3rds, Mortise, Transitions, Bug… the whole bit. Audio was carefully crafted by John Black at CypherAudio.

At this year's International CES (Consumer Electronics Show), which took place in Las Vegas, Ericsson's CEO Hans Vestberg delivered a keynote addressing the future of "The Networked Society". London based Global Brand Experience Agency, Jack Morton, contacted Onesize for creating a 2+ minute brand film for Ericsson, which in a nutshell explains where Ericsson is coming from and where it's going. The film opens Hans' Keynote by introducing Ericsson's "Networked Society" to the audience. A fully CG, animated film is the result, scored and sound designed by Echolab. Playgrounds Opening Titles 2009

Working together with Onesize we created the Playgrounds festival opening titles. Basically it are two guys beating the shit out of each other. It was very important to give the movie a high end feeling. While there was a small budget it looks like it was created with a big budget. It has the look and feel of a movie filmed with an expensive high-speed camera. But actually the complete movie is build up out of photographs only. Quoted from Onesize (with whom I created this piece with): The film was created in little over 2 weeks. Playgrounds director Leon van Rooij asked us, like 6 months ago, if we wanted to do the titles for this years' fest. I quote: "Playgrounds is a two-day festival in Tilburg, the Netherlands, where you can see the best digital audiovisual art in the world, such as musicvideos, animations, commercials, character design, VFX and games AND you can find out how it's been made during artist lectures and Q&A's." Of course we said yes, because doing titles for festivals like these are rare opportunities. So we welcomed it with open arms. Next to that, we've been involved in the festival for 3 years now and we are the first ones to design a title sequence for this festival. What a burden... ;) With no creative brief and even less budget, we slowly started thinking, concepting, designing, thinking of how we could create something impressive, something new, something with a lot of production value but produce-able within 3 weeks and of course something we had not done before with our team, to challenge ourselves even more. We ended up with the idea to have 2 fighters fighting over whatever on a children's playground. Kind of a metaphor for a creative process, which can be a battle sometimes.. kill your darlings.. etc.. etc... Anyway, this could become visually very interesting, so we thought. We focused on the image, look and feel, a bit more than we used to this time, simply because we wanted to. We did some research, especially on the visual style in photography, the air we wanted the film to breath. Initially, the film needed to be very slow paced, almost like a dance on classical music in ultra slow motion, this was still the idea at the time when we shot the images. Just ultra slow motion, shooting with a phantom camera would not do the trick for us. We wanted to have more control over the slow motion in post production, still be be able to decide camera angles and motion. To do this we used the camera mapping technique in 3D. The production was made fairly simple compared to live-action shoots with high speed camera's shooting on location. By using this technique, simply because we only needed still images, we wrapped the shoot in 3 hours. Our photographer, Jasper Faber did an outstanding job by using only 2 flash lights, a camera and a macbook. In post production we changed the direction a little, we wanted more action. Jasper took a bunch of photo's which I found out could work just fine in a quick sequence. The contrast between the ultra slow-motion image and super fast paced short sequences made it more powerful and dramatized the impact of the slow motion sequence. Joris, our sound designer did what was necessary to enhance the impact even more. For the production of this shoot we contacted rotterdam based production company Revolver and asked them if they wanted to help us out producing the shoot. Luckily they said yes They just contracted photographer Jasper Faber who was willing to shoot the images and help us out with the production, since we knew that post production would be very time consuming. Revolver helped us out producing it, so we could focus on direction and post production. The people who saw it thus far, all responded to the film equally, asking the same question "... how did you shoot it, with a phantom?" .. no, it's all 3D.
